Founder and CEO
Judith O’Doherty has a keen interest in all things place. Judith’s career in economic development in both the private and public sector enabled her to travel extensively on an international basis and work on place promotion campaigns across the UK, Europe and the US, often with a focus on foreign investment attraction.
“There are place experts in every community and I established eutopia to support local experts to make positive and sustainable changes through enabling effective stakeholder communication, conducting data driven assessments and developing strategies that are truly customised for the specific place. These elements provide the foundation for effective place marketing campaigns and growth of the local economy.”
Judith has worked on place campaigns including the development of a Place brand and place marketing strategy for the Cork region in Ireland, development of an investment orientated marketing strategy for Tuscany, promotion of Florida as a business destination in Europe and marketing planning for business parks and towns across the UK.
Judith recently completed a MSc in Place Management and Leadership from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Place Management and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is a keen advocate for heritage preservation.
